OREANDA-NEWS. The share of non-cash payments using Sberbank self-service devices increased by 15 pp in 2015 to 75%. This was announced at a press conference by Sergey Panyushkin, Director of the Self-service Device Management Centre.

"The growth of non-cash payments is a key strategic goal of Sberbank. Non-cash payments, including via self-service devices benefit clients and the bank," commented Mr Panyushkin.

Mr Panyushkin talked about the changes that have been made to Sberbank ATMs. For example, now ATMs have a dynamic timer and voice notification, which remind users to take their cards and money. The guaranteed transaction mechanism activates itself if communications channels are interrupted. If the ATM does not contain the banknotes requested by the user, he or she will be provided with an alternative (for example 1,000 or 1,500 roubles instead of 1,100).

Sberbank ATMs also have functions for corporate clients: cash can be instantly deposited to settlement accounts at any time.

Sberbank has a network of 86,000 self-service devices. "In one month an average of 60 million unique clients - Sberbank cardholders - use our ATMs. This is more than half of the adult population of Russia," said Sergey Panyushkin.
