OREANDA-NEWS The German automotive concern Daimler Truck (part of the Mercedes-Benz Group) sold its 15 percent stake in Kamaz in 2024. This was announced by Kamaz CEO Sergey Kogogin in an interview with Vedomosti newspaper.

According to Kogogin, "Mercedes-Benz Group AG has not been involved in the life of Kamaz since February 2022," the formal process of termination of participation in the capital of KAMAZ has already been completed. He did not disclose to whom the concern sold its shares.

Earlier it was reported that Kamaz consolidated 100 percent of the shares of the former joint venture with the German Daimler Truck Daimler KAMAZ Rus — previously, automakers owned the enterprise on a parity basis.

On February 28 last year, Daimler suspended cooperation with Kamaz and stopped deliveries. After that, the assembly of medium-duty Compass trucks based on the component base of the Chinese JAC was established at the facilities in Naberezhnye Chelny.
