OREANDA-NEWS  The capacities of KMZ holding have been prepared for the mass production of unmanned Dandelion type boats. Mikhail Danilenko, managing director of the company, told RIA Novosti about this.

It is noted that KMZ should switch to mass production of marine drones for the Russian Defense Ministry this year. The first experimental batch of devices is being tested in the area of a special military operation.

"Significant competencies have been developed over the past years, and today we are more ready than ever to fulfill such orders. Significant investments of funds in the development of propulsion systems, conservation of small-sized vehicles today will give a return in the rapid and mass production of such types of drone boats," Danilenko said.

He added that serial production of the devices will begin in case of positive results of their tests.

In December, KMZ reported that the first marine drone, which was sent for testing, was given the working name "High-speed Unmanned Launch Vehicle (BBKN) Dandelion".

In November, it became known that the unmanned boat is capable of attacking both naval targets, ports and naval military bases. The drone carries a combat load of up to 600 kilograms.
