It is specified that the process of transferring information to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has been launched, and a gradual examination is underway. And the rate of approval of the application is determined by the EMA.

EMA is still waiting for an application for approval of using Sputnik V for European markets. According to the interlocutor of the agency, at this stage it is difficult to say exactly how long the approval will take. It is noted that even before the confirmation from the EMA, the European Union agreed on a centralized purchase of the Russian medicine.

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, hopes that the application for registration of Sputnik V will be considered in the near future, that no political arguments will be used in this process, but it will be considered in essence based on the results of the data published in the Lancet magazine. which show that one of the best vaccines in the world is the Russian vaccine.
