OREANDA-NEWS. As a representative of Aerolineas Argentinas told agency RIA Novosti, the long-waited aircraft with the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V on board will arrive in Argentina very soon, on the evening of December 23.

In fact, earlier Argentina and Russia signed an agreement providing for the supply of the vaccine in order to vaccinate 10 million people in this country in January-February.

It is reported that the plane with the vaccine will leave Moscow on December 22 at 3.30 am (9.30 am Moscow time), and will arrive in Argentina on December 23 at 18.30 (00.30 Moscow time).

Earlier, Argentinean presidential aide Cecilia Nicolini told RIA Novosti that the vaccine will arrive in the Latin American country before Christmas, which is celebrated there on December 25. She noted that the agreement has been about doses for vaccination of 300 thousand people.

The Argentinean aide to the President also said that regulatory approval for the use of the Russian vaccine should be issued by the time it arrives.

She also expressed the hope that perhaps in the foreseeable future Argentina will be able to produce the Sputnik V vaccine, because that country is open to that.
