OREANDA-NEWS. As a military expert, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Arsenal of the Fatherland" Viktor Murakhovsky told RIA Novosti, the newest Russian heavy attack drone C-70 "Okhotnik" will become a "faithful companion" for the Su-57 and will be able to use the entire range of weapons of the fifth generation fighter, including high-precision missiles.

According to the Russian media, "Okhotnik", as part of flight tests, struck a ground target at the Ashuluk range with unguided free-fall bombs of 500 kg caliber.

According to the expert, the "Okhotnik" was created to implement the concept of "faithful follower", that is, this drone should operate in conjunction with the Su-57 and use the entire range of aviation weapons that is on this fighter.

The specialist believes that soon, in addition to bombs of various calibers and types, Okhotnik will be able to begin testing those air-to-surface missiles that have been created taking into account the requirements for the Su-57 aircraft. He recalls that the development of these missiles was previously completed at the Ashuluk test site as part of the Su-57 aviation complex.

Vladimir Murakhovsky said that along with unguided free-fall bombs, the use of which from a drone was reported by a source to RIA Novosti, the S-70 should use bombs with laser and satellite guidance systems - KAB-500L and KAB-500S.
