OREANDA-NEWS The Pew Research Center conducted a survey on the attitude of residents of different countries towards Russia. According to the results, 97% of Poles described their attitude as "unfavorable" and 91% - "very unfavorable". Thus, Poland became the leader in the list of countries that have a negative attitude towards Russia. The report was published on the organization's website.

According to the research center, the survey was conducted among residents of 18 countries: the United States, Canada, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Great Britain, Israel, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea. The study itself was conducted from February 14 to May 11, 2022, but most of it took place after the start of the special operation on the territory of Ukraine.

In addition to Poland, the overwhelming majority of the inhabitants of Sweden expressed a negative attitude towards Russia. According to the poll, 94% of Swedes disapprove of Russia's policy, and 80% "strongly disapprove".

At the other end of the list was Malaysia - only 50% of the inhabitants there have an unfavorable attitude towards Russia, while 47% of people rated it positively.

Earlier, the director of the Third European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Oleg Tyapkin, said that Poland today is an ardent initiator of powerful sanctions pressure on Russia and the cancellation of contacts with Moscow, so the option of breaking diplomatic relations with Warsaw cannot be ruled out. However, if this happens, then Russia will not be the initiator.
