OREANDA-NEWS. June 06, 2016. Power management company Eaton recently contributed \\$10,000 to the Alessandra Onlus Association in support of the organization’s Family Project, an initiative to provide housing to patients with traumatic brain injuries and their families during treatment. Employees from Eaton’s Vehicle Group plant in Monfalcone, Italy also helped complete the construction of apartments near Gervasutta Hospital.

The Alessandra Onlus Association, founded in 2013, was named after Alessandra Clama, a 25-year-old girl who suffers from a severe brain injury caused by a car accident. The Family Project built an apartment near Gervasutta Hospital designed to meet the specific needs of patients with traumatic brain injuries and accommodate their families.

“We wanted to make this contribution to show our support of Alessandra’s father who is an Eaton employee,” said Romina Railz, human resources manager, Monfalcone facility. “We are proud to be able lend a hand with the Family Project and the spirit and involvement of all our employees is inspiring.”

The Association provides physical and psychological support to people with severe brain injuries and their families and creates opportunities for patients to integrate into the community after their traumatic injuries through sports, cultural and charitable events. The Association partners with the Institute of Physical Medicine and rehabilitation center of the Gervasutta Hospital in Udine to provide the expertise of their specialized professionals.
