OREANDA-NEWS. ENGIE and EVbox won the biggest tender in the Netherlands with the public electric charging tender of Rotterdam and 16 other municipalities (including The Hague).

The contract consists in creating a maximum of 4000 new charging points for electric cars in the whole concession area, of which 1,800 are located in Rotterdam. ENGIE was awarded the installation, management and operation of these electric charging stations. Big Data analysis will play an important role during the installation of new recharging stations in order to optimize the use of charging network.

ENGIE already won tenders in this field. Over the past years, ENGIE has installed more than 5 000 charging points in Europe. Recently, the partnership between Powerdale and ENGIE Cofely Luxembourg received in July the orders of 5 administrators of Luxemburg distribution networks (Creos, Sudstroum, Electris, City of Ettelbruck and City of Diekirch) for 800 public charging stations which will be spread over a period of 4 years (2017-2020) as well as the service contract to manage the platform of the common operator for a period of 12 years.

In France, after the recent installations in 2015 and 2016 in Calvados (410 charging stations), Seine-et-Marne

(380 charging stations), Eure-et-Loir (298 charging stations), or still the Indre (240 charging stations), ENGIE Ineo is going to participate in the deployment of about 1 100 new infrastructures of refill of battery-driven vehicles in 3 new departments.
