OREANDA-NEWS Gazprom for the first time delivered a batch of LNG of its own production from the complex in the area of the Portovaya compressor station (CS) along the Northern Sea Route to China, the holding said in a statement.

"Today, the Veliky Novgorod gas tanker with a batch of liquefied natural gas produced by Gazprom at the complex in the Portovaya CS area has completed unloading at the Tangshan LNG receiving terminal in China. This is the first delivery of LNG produced by Gazprom along the Northern Sea Route," the report says.

The use of this route significantly reduces the delivery time of LNG to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the company noted.

Gazprom's complex for the production, storage and shipment of liquefied natural gas in the Portovaya CS area with a capacity of 1.5 million tons includes a marine terminal that provides LNG shipment by gas tankers of various cargo capacities, including low-tonnage ones, as well as a terminal for shipping by road. In May 2023, the company produced 1 million tons of LNG.
