OREANDA-NEWS The European Union has no plans to ban the supply of Russian LNG in the near future, despite the growth of imports from other countries, Spanish Energy Minister Teresa Ribera said in an interview with Reuters.

She recalled the energy crisis that hit Europe last year. Now there is no shortage of supplies, the storages are full, but there are fears of another price jump. "There is this feeling of scarcity and fear," Ribera stated.

The volume of Russian natural gas exports has decreased since last year after pipeline supplies decreased amid Western sanctions, and the Nord Stream pipeline was blown up. This has led to a reduction in Russia's revenues from energy exports by almost 40 percent in annual terms.
