OREANDA-NEWSThe Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrate Plant and the Egyptian Atomic Energy Organization have signed a long-term fuel supply contract for the ETRR-2 research reactor. This was announced on Monday by the press service of the company.

"PJSC NZHK and the Atomic Energy Organization of Egypt entered into a ten-year contract for the supply of uranium and aluminum components of low-enriched nuclear fuel for the ETRR-2 research reactor", the statement said. The Argentinean design research reactor ETRR-2 is located at the National Center for Nuclear Research in the city of Inshas. It's used for scientific research in the field of particle physics, materials science, as well as for the production of radioisotopes.

“Our factories have more than forty years of experience in the serial fabrication of fuel for research reactors and can produce fuel components for all the major Russian and foreign design reactors existing in the world”, the press service quotes Grigoryeva.
