OREANDA-NEWS  Russia has cut its offshore oil supplies to the West several times. This is reported in the data of the Independent Analytical Agency of the Oil and Gas Sector.

It is noted that in December 2022, Russian oil supplies to the countries of the European Union (EU) by sea from the ports of Primorsk were at the level of 12 percent, Novorossiysk — 48 percent, Ust-Luga — 14 percent. At the same time, in the last month of 2021, the entire volume of fuel from Primorsk and Ust-Luga went to the EU countries.

According to the publication, Russia has redirected oil exports to the East. Thus, exports to India, China, Egypt and Turkey have grown significantly.

Analysts stressed that there is currently a global restructuring of oil supply chains from Russia. Experts noted that the country is entering new markets. They believe this trend will continue this year.

Earlier, Bloomberg wrote that after the EU embargo on Russian petroleum products comes into force, which will happen on February 5, the supply of diesel fuel to Europe will increase India, which actively buys Russian oil. According to Vortexa, in December, when the EU embargo on sea shipments of Russian oil came into force, India increased purchases in Russia by 24 percent, mainly it was purchased by private refineries.
