OREANDA-NEWS The State of Israel last year bought $ 9.8 billion worth of oil on world markets, the origin of more than half of which is unknown. This is reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the data of the national statistical services.

According to the agency, data on specific suppliers of oil imported to Israel in 2022 are classified. RIAN added that based on the analysis of statistics of the twenty largest oil exporters, it was possible to identify five sellers of "black gold" to Israel. It is emphasized that Azerbaijan sold the most oil to Tel Aviv last year - for $ 1.7 billion. In second place is Brazil, which supplied Israel with $1.1 billion worth of oil. Kazakhstan exported $777 million worth of this raw material to the Jewish state. The volume of imports from the United Arab Emirates reached $ 645 million, and from Nigeria — $ 213 million. In total, it was possible to find out the origin of $4.4 billion worth of supplies.

According to state agencies, the United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, Colombia and the United States did not sell oil to Israel in 2022. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Algeria, Angola do not trade with Tel Aviv at all. At the same time, the Russian Federation, Iran and Venezuela do not publish relevant trade data. The only "white spot" remains Mexico, which officially did not supply oil to Israel in 2022, but there are 86 million dollars in statistics for which the commodity group is not specified.
