Carrefour group continues with its expansion in China: new stores open
OREANDA-NEWS. Carrefour opened two new stores in January:
– 21 January: in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province (in the centre of China), the Longquanyi Carrefour opened up to the general public. This hypermarket is the 19th store to open in this particular town, creating more than 300 local jobs in the process;
– 22 January: in Shanghai, in the Hongqiao Vanke Centre business district, an Easy Carrefour has also just opened. This is China's 26th Carrefour Easy – a format which seeks to cater more to the lifestyles of its local customers and root itself in the local landscape.
