OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2016. Tru Measure, McClatchy (NYSE: MNI) advertising analytics and technology subsidiary, today announced John Hoeft will be its new general manager. Hoeft is currently the associate vice president of digital at the Star Tribune in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

Tru Measure provides local online marketing and digital advertising analytics solutions for small and midsized businesses. During this transition, company founder Charity Huff will work closely with the company until Hoeft steps into his role as general manager.

John has an exceptional track record in data-driven marketing and sales, said Christian Hendricks, McClatchy?s vice president of products, marketing and innovation. ?He is a self-described ?results oriented change agent with an entrepreneurial drive? which is directly in line with the mission of Tru Measure.?

Hoeft has been the associate vice president of digital at the Star Tribune since 2013. He started there as an online sales account executive in 1994, then moved on to other roles with Media News Group, Novus Media, Inc. and Patch.com.

Tru Measure's success and continued growth is a clear indication of the industry appetite for marketing analytics and campaign data interpretation,? said Hoeft. ?Agencies, large marketers and small businesses all require the tools needed to justify their advertising investments and reinvest in what's working. I'm thrilled to be a part of this innovative, customer-centric team and look forward to servicing our media sales partners.?

Hoeft replaces Huff, who announced her resignation in February in order to pursue and return to her lifelong passion of creating and growing start-up businesses. Huff and her partners founded Tru Measure in 2009. McClatchy acquired the company in 2013.

We built this company out of our passion for the publishing and advertising industries,? said Huff. ?I am confident that with John?s leadership, Tru Measure will continue to thrive.

John and his wife Tracy have two children, a 12-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter.
