Kim Dotcom teases new cloud storage site that's 'better than Mega'
Living in New Zealand, the controversial Dotcom continues to fight extradition to the US where he faces charges of copyright infringement, money laundering and assorted other misdeeds for his role in founding and running Megaupload.
His hashtag suggests the new site could appear in January 2017, which will mark five years since police raids on Megaupload in which Dotcom and others were arrested.
Megaupload relaunched as Mega and now operates without Dotcom, who takes the occasional swipe at the service when he's not supporting Brexit or blasting Hillary Clinton. Dotcom promised his new site would be "much better than Mega. Many improvements and much easier to use. You'll love it."
