OREANDA-NEWS. New brand of SUVS Wey, which is belonging to the Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor, will be launched in April of 2017. According to the chairman of Great Wall, Wei Jianjun, the new SUVs will be built in accordance with standards comparable to the standards of European manufacturers.

For work on SUVs, the company hired three former members of the management from the competing companies and some hundreds of foreign engineers and designers for research and design development of the car and creation of brand strategy. Among the executives that were hired in Great Wall there is former employee of Audi, the creator of the BMW X5 and the former head of marketing of Lexus.
