Nvidia's new $1,200 Titan X graphics card is an absolute monster
Called the Titan X, it looks to be the most powerful graphics card that Nvidia has ever made. As the name suggests, the card is the new model in Nvidia's top-end Titan series.
The Titan X, which sells for an eye-watering \\$1,200 (that converts roughly to AU\\$1,600 or ?1,200), is based on Nvidia's Pascal architecture, boasts 12GB of GDDR5X memory and will have 3,584 of Nvidia's specialist "CUDA" cores. The GTX 1080, by comparison, has 8GB of memory and 2,560 CUDA cores.
The new Titan X will be available on August 2 in North America and Europe. The company adds that "it is coming soon to Asia."
