OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2016. Sony has introduced two-step verification for PlayStation Network accounts, adding an optional layer of security to its online network.

Activating this new feature will require PSN users to input a verification code (sent via text message) in addition to their password upon signing into their account. Two-step verification is recommended for any password-protected account, as it provides an additional level of protection should an unwanted party obtain your password.

Those with PSN accounts can enable two-step verification through the PlayStation website.

Sony recently revealed it's raising the price of PlayStation Plus for yearly and three-month plans in the U.S. and Canada. A yearly subscription will now cost \\$60 USD/\\$70 CAD, with three-month memberships rising to \\$25 USD/\\$30 CAD.
