OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus has ceased certification of fruit and vegetable "sanctions" products, which came to this country from other countries for further re - export to Russia.

The corresponding decision was communicated during telephone conversations of the Rosselkhoznadzor with the deputy director of the Main State Inspectorate on seed production, quarantine and plant protection of Belarus Alexander Pavlovich.

"The Belarusian side announced the termination of certification of fruit and vegetable products coming from third countries for customs clearance on the territory of Belarus and further re - export to Russia. This measure will affect only those products that are included in the list of economic response of the Russian Federation, and will last until the inspection of necessary measures to confirm countries of origin of products of third countries", - said Yulia Melano, press secretary of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

According to the Belarusian side, these actions will prevent the flow of "sanctions" products supplied from Belarus to Russia. "At the same time, imports of plant products intended for use in Belarus will continue", - said a representative of the Russian Ministry.

To exclude illegal deliveries of such goods to Russia, she said, Belarus began sending inquiries to third countries with a request to clarify information on the volumes of production and export of fruits and vegetables to Belarus.

"During the negotiations, the Rosselkhoznadzor drew the attention of the Belarusian colleagues to the fact that the supply of Belarusian apples grown last year continues to Russia, whereas last year such deliveries were stopped in mid - February. A similar situation is observed with the Belarusian cabbage, which, according to experts, can not be stored for so long", - said Melano.
