OREANDA-NEWS. The European Union (EU) will include Ukraine in the green list of countries and remove restrictions on the travel of Ukrainian tourists to the member countries of the union. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal, according to the Telegram channel Klymenko Time.

According to him, Ukrainians were actually given the green light to travel to Europe, although each country will make the final decision on entry permits separately, depending on its epidemiological situation and quarantine measures.

At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba noted that the decision to include Ukraine in this list is advisory in nature. “All ambassadors and diplomats in foreign countries have been instructed to actively work with partners to ensure that Ukraine is included in these“ green ”lists,” the diplomat said.

On July 14, Radio Liberty's Brussels correspondent Ricard Yozviak said on his Twitter account that the European ambassadors decided to add Ukraine to the list of countries for which restrictions on entry into the EU would be lifted. He specified that the list also included Azerbaijan, Armenia and Moldova.

Earlier, the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko at a government meeting promised that citizens will be able to fly freely to the EU countries this summer. According to the minister, the positiveness of testing for coronavirus in Ukraine complies with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and is less than five percent, which will allow Ukrainians to travel to EU countries.
