OREANDA-NEWS  The range of pink wines in Russia has tripled over the past few years, while the share of sales of such wine will continue to grow further, Olesya Bunyaeva, director of the Department for Research and promotion of domestic wine products of Roskachestvo, told RIA Novosti.

"The category of pink wines in Russia is growing at a fantastic pace. Compared to 2020, the number of pink wines in the study has doubled, and in the market as a whole, we note a threefold increase in the range of pink wine... We predict the continuation of this trend and an increase in the share of pink wines in the total volume of retail sales of Russian wine from the current 2% to 3-4% by the end of the next two years," she said.
For example, in the portfolio of a large winery today you can find a whole line of pink wines from 3-4 names, they also become a mandatory attribute of the wine assortment and small farm wineries.
Roskachestvo also conducted a study and announced the best rose wines in Russia - 39 names of rose wines from 33 brands took part in it. For example, the top 5 dry pink wines included: Inkerman Winemakers Selection Cabernet Sauvignon, 2022, "Aristov Zweigelt 320", (Kuban State University. Taman Peninsula", 2022), "Aristov Rose", (Kuban State University. Taman Peninsula", 2022), "Vedernikov Gubernatorial pink Wine", (ZSU "Valley of the Don", 2022) and "Myshako Berry explosion" (ZSU "Kuban, Novorossiysk", 2022).

"The best semi-dry pink: "Phanagoria Green wine", a Russian wine with a protected geographical indication "Kuban. Taman Peninsula", 2022. ... The best semi-sweet pink this year was "Villa Krim Muscat Riviera", ordinary semi-sweet pink wine, 2022," the organization concluded.
