OREANDA-NEWS. The US will lift entry restrictions for foreigners who have a vaccination certificate and a negative test for COVID-19. This was announced on Monday evening by the press service of the White House.

The new rules will come into force in November of this year and will replace the earlier restrictions. However, it is not yet known which vaccines will be acceptable for entry into the country. This, respectively, should be notified later.

Testing rules will be tightened for unvaccinated American residents. Now they will be required to pass the test within a day before returning to the United States, as well as immediately after arriving home. At the same time, fully vaccinated passengers get rid of the mandatory quarantine.

The new rules will simplify the entry of people who were in the UK, the EU, China. India, Iran, Ireland, Brazil and South Africa. Previously, citizens who have been in these states for the last 14 days were forbidden to visit the United States of America. This fact aroused a lot of discontent on the part of their allies.

Moreover, earlier the EU countries and the United Kingdom lifted a number of restrictions to allow vaccinated travelers from the United States to enter the territories of their countries without mandatory quarantine. This was supposed to encourage business and tourist trips.
