OREANDA-NEWS AvtoVAZ has released the first experimental batch of new Lada Iskra models at the Tolyatti plant for testing, the company's press service told RIA Novosti.

"A batch of Lada Iskra prototype cars has already been released at the Tolyatti plant for testing," the automaker noted.
According to Maxim Sokolov, President of AvtoVAZ, serial production of the new product is scheduled for early 2025.

AvtoVAZ owns production sites in Tolyatti and Izhevsk. In mid-May 2022, French Renault transferred its share in AvtoVAZ (67.69%) to the state ownership of the Russian Federation. Now the brand consists of four model families: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva. Sales of Lada cars in 2023 amounted to 352.6 thousand units (an increase of almost two times in annual terms).
