OREANDA-NEWSThe British airline lowcoster Easyjet has stopped all flights due to the spread of a new type of coronavirus. This was announced on Monday by the LBC radio station, citing a statement by the airline.

"As a result of the unprecedented travel restrictions imposed by governments of different countries because of the coronavirus pandemic. Easyjet suspends all flights of its fleet", the statement said. It's noted that the company "will continue to work with government agencies" and upon request will carry out flights necessary for the repatriation of customers. The date of the resumption of flights is not called yet.

Since March 24, the airline canceled most of its flights. Easyjet is one of the largest air carriers in Europe. In 2019, 96 million passengers took advantage of the company's services.
