OREANDA-NEWSAir traffic between Russia and South Korea will be limited from March 1, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said at a briefing following a meeting of the Operational Headquarters to prevent the importation and spread of new coronavirus infection, a Russian media correspondent reports.

An exception will be made for Aeroflot and its charter subsidiary Aurora, who will fly to Korea until the Russians are taken out of the country. Aurora will operate in a charter mode until the removal of all our citizens from the territory of the South Korean Republic. Aeroflot will fly to Moscow, and citizens arriving from the Republic of South Korea will also pass through terminal F of Sheremetyevo Airport”, said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Four Russian airlines regularly flew to South Korea: Aeroflot, Aurora, S7 and Yakutia. A coronavirus outbreak began in China at the end of 2019. According to the latest WHO data, the number of people infected in the world has already reached 80,239, most of them are from China (77,780). The disease has already been diagnosed in 33 countries, the number of deaths exceeded 2.7 thousand people.
