OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov called air defense one of the weak points in the country's army. He said this on the air of the ICTV channel.

At the same time, he noted that despite this moment, the landing of Russian paratroopers in the event of an invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine would be impossible.

He noted that the Ukrainian army has the same software systems as the Russian armed forces.

“At the same time, it is impossible to say that we are absolutely protected. There is no perfect cover, we are working on it,” Reznikov said.

The minister also called it an unrealistic scenario that the Russian army could resort to bombardment with cruise missiles.

Earlier, Reznikov said that Kiev sees no sign of Russia preparing for an alleged attack on Ukraine.

Since the fall of last year, the Western media, as well as in Ukraine, have been claiming that Russia is allegedly preparing a “large-scale invasion” of Ukraine. In Moscow, such allegations have been repeatedly rejected.

According to him, from a military point of view, the "strike group" should have a number of features that are not on the Russian-Ukrainian border.

“As of today, 119,000 ground component of the strike force has not been formed to carry out an attack on Ukraine, an invasion,” he explained.
