OREANDA-NEWSJapan's largest automobile corporation Toyota Motor plans to sell 10.77 million vehicles worldwide in 2020. This is slightly higher than the target for the current year of 10.72 million cars, the company said in an official statement.

These figures also include cars sold on the market by Daihatsu Motor mini-car manufacturer and Hino Motors truck manufacturer, which are part of Toyota. Currently, it's in second place in the world in car sales, second only to the Volkswagen group.

In August 2019, sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia fell by 1.3%, according to the Association of European Businesses. Over the past month, the volume of the Russian car market amounted to 145.5 thousand cars, which is 1.8 thousand less than in the same month of 2018. The total market for new cars in Russia in 2019 amounted to 1.1 million units, which is 2.3% less than in January-August 2018.
