OREANDA-NEWS  Belarusians have a very warm attitude towards Serbian brothers. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement as he met with the special envoy of the President of Serbia, Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister of Serbia Nebojsa Stefanovic on 29 March.

Alexander Lukashenko said: “There is no need for some introductory words because we maintain excellent relations with your country. There can be no other way about it. We know each other well — Serbia and Belarus. Our nations are very friendly. We have always maintained very kind relations. I think that while in Minsk you will see once again that we have a very warm attitude towards our Serbian brothers.”

The President remarked that Belarus knows what problems Serbia encounters these days. “I think you too know well the issues we have to deal with. You are not having it easy, neither are we. But we lived and will continue living because we are Slavs, we are ancient peoples and know how to overcome emerging difficulties and how to overcome them together,” stressed the head of state.

Alexander Lukashenko and Nebojsa Stefanovic talked in detail about topical aspects of Belarus-Serbia cooperation and ways of advancing interstate relations.
