Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus participates in the Meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers
OREANDA-NEWS. On October 10, 2017 Sochi (Russian Federation) hosts the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers.
The Belarusian delegation participates in the meeting under the leadership of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei.
Main areas of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the Commonwealth appear in the agenda of the meeting. In particular, the participants intend to negotiate drafts of the Statement on Support for the Family and Traditional Family Values and the Convention on Cooperation in the Field of Exploration and Use of Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes. Once the documents are agreed by the Heads of the Foreign Ministries of the CIS countries, they will be submitted for consideration by the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth to be held on September 11, 2017.
