OREANDA-NEWS. On Friday, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman met with President of Hungary Janos Ader. The parties discussed topical issues of Ukrainian-Hungarian cooperation and potential areas to enhance it.

Volodymyr Groysman noted that among the priority areas for strengthening bilateral collaboration are trade-economic sphere and energy.

The interlocutors focused on environmental protection issues of concern for the two countries. Volodymyr Groysman and Janos Ader agreed to intensify practical measures to improve the environment of the Tysa as a border river, in particular to prevent the ingress of salt and solid waste into the river.

Experts of the two countries in synergy with experts of the European institutions will make necessary arrangements in the near future.

The parties also discussed prospective projects for wastewater treatment on the common border, as well as reconstruction and modernization of Ukrainian companies operating in this field.

Moreover, the top officials paid attention to cooperation in the energy sector. The Prime Minister of Ukraine briefed his interlocutor on the Government's measures to restore domestic gas production, and to pursue a policy of energy efficiency as one of the top priorities for the executive authorities.
