OREANDA-NEWS. In the period of 15-16 September 2016 the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Kristian Jensen has paid a visit to  Ukraine.

During the visit he was accepted by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman. In the course of talks PM V.Groysman has noted a positive trend of increase of the bilateral trade turnover within the first half of the year and also informed the Danish official on the measures undertaken by the Government to stabilize Ukrainian economy, to renew the cooperation with the IMF as well as on reforms carried out in the sphere of energy, customs, health, fiscal policy.

Elaborating on reforms progress K.Jensen commented on the business climate conditions in our country, which are steadily improving, according to the signals coming from the Danish companies working in Ukraine. He also expressed readiness to assist Ukraine in fulfilling the reforms agenda in particular on fighting corruption, promoting decentralization, energy efficiency and energy saving.

During the visit the Minister for Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Ihor Nasalyk has met Minister K.Jensen to discuss further steps in accomplishing the plan of actions of the Ukraine-Denmark Energy Center and also to evaluate its work since 2015.
