OREANDA-NEWS. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, expressed the intention of the Chinese side to organize the delivery of emergency medicines to the Russian Federation to combat the spread of the new coronavirus. This was announced on Thursday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

"As a thank you for supporting Russia, we are ready to actively work out the issue of providing assistance in the form of cargo deliveries in which your country is in urgent need", the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry quoted Wang Yi.According to the Foreign Minister of China, Beijing is interested in strengthening cooperation with Moscow to combat the disease caused by coronavirus. He stressed that this task requires the combined efforts of the international community.

Wang Yi also thanked the Russian side for its support at the most difficult moment, when China had to overcome great difficulties in order to extinguish the outbreak of coronavirus.
