OREANDA-NEWS. An asteroid with a diameter of 84 to 190 meters is approaching the Earth. This was reported on the website Near-Earth Object (NEO) by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA, USA).

The asteroid 2009 PQ1 will be at a minimum distance, 3.2 million kilometers, on August 5. Its speed is 13.47 kilometers per second.

The asteroid is one of so called Apollo objects, celestial bodies orbit of which crosses the Earth’s orbit.

It is also reported that other two large asteroids with a diameter of 47–110 and 55–120 meters will pass near the Earth on July 29 and July 30.
