OREANDA-NEWS Japanese airlines were forced to cancel more than 150 flights because of typhoon Francisco, which hit the southwestern part of the country on Tuesday. This was reported by Japanese public television. 

It is noted that about 160 domestic flights connecting the southwestern island of Kyushu with other regions of the country have been canceled. Bad weather also caused interruptions in the movement of railway transport in the south-west of the country. Over 15 thousand people received recommendations for evacuation - local authorities warn people about the threat of landslides due to heavy rainfall. 

Typhoon Francisco is currently moving from the Pacific towards the Korean Peninsula. It is expected to leave Japan by Tuesday evening.
