OREANDA-NEWS. The Polish authorities want to take away from the Russian embassy a recreation center located in the Skubianki area on the Zegrzynsky Bay, 40 km from Warsaw, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the RAP agency.

In 2010, the base was leased to the Russian embassy.

The representative of the state forestry, Michal Gzowski, said that the department was filing a lawsuit for the transfer of real estate by the Russian embassy, while the director of the forestry, Józef Kubica, indicated that on April 14, the organization terminated the lease agreement for the site where the base is located, unilaterally in connection with the conduct of a special operation by the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

The Russian Embassy expressed disagreement with the termination of the contract, so the forestry intends to return control over this place in court, Kubica stressed.

Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergey Andreev pointed out that the diplomatic mission received a letter with a notification about the termination of the lease agreement for a forest plot in Skubyanka, but the diplomats did not receive documents from the court. The Russian embassy demanded clarification, in response the Polish side referred to an article of the Polish Civil Code. However, the embassy pointed to its groundlessness and stressed that there were no legal grounds to terminate the lease.

Earlier, the Polish prosecutor's office froze the accounts of the Russian embassy, after which Moscow did the same in response.
