Poroshenko warned Zelensky against rash meetings with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. According to him, this could harm the unification of European countries around Ukraine and reduce their loyalty, which was achieved in the time of his presidency. “You will leave Ukraine alone with the aggressor. And then you just have to get on your knees and acknowledge the change. And we definitely cannot let that happen, ”he concluded.

A few days ago, some Western politicians already gave advice to Vladimir Zelensky about communication with the Russian president. Thus, the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan urged the winner of the presidential election to be with the Russian leader “direct, honest, without tricks”. According to Ivan Aparshin, Zelensky’s military adviser, negotiations with Russia are necessary only in the presence of “powerful countries” - the United States and Great Britain.
