OREANDA-NEWS Biologists said that birds of prey become the cause of the development of post-traumatic syndrome in black-caped gaits. This conclusion was reached by experts after observing the brain of animals and their behavior.

Post-traumatic syndrome develops after a stressful event, which may include military operations, experienced violence or disaster, as well as a serious illness. Animals can experience approximately the same stress, but everything happens a little differently for them. Canadian researchers decided to find out how similar the symptoms are in animals and humans. It turned out that black-caped gaiters are in a similar condition due to birds of prey.

According to the authors of the study, the behavior of gaits and the activity of their brain falls under the criteria specific to the model of post-traumatic syndrome in laboratory animals.
