OREANDA-NEWS. If humanity does not stop destroying forests and consuming other natural resources, the civilization will collapse, which will happen with a probability of about 90 %. This conclusion was made by scientists from the Alan Turing Institute (Great Britain) and the University of Tarapaca (Chile).

A new forecast published by physicists indicates that the Earth will lose last forests between 2100 and 2200. Other natural resources will also be exhausted. This factor, as well as climatic changes and population growth, will lead to the total collapse of human civilization.

Scientists say that if humanity does not change its attitude towards the environment, the collapse of civilization will be almost inevitable. In order to protect themselves from the catastrophe, people need to change their views on the consumption of natural resources, and start thinking about preserving ecosystems of the planet.
