OREANDA-NEWS. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the United States to clarify the military-biological activities deployed in Ukraine. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Zhao Lijian.

“If the US wants to prove the sincerity of its activities, why not open these biological laboratories for independent research by international experts?” — said the representative of the department.

As Lijian noted, military biological activities in Ukraine, allegedly carried out by Washington, are of concern to the world community.

About 10 different laboratories operate on orders from the US Department of Defense, the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry noted.

Earlier it became known that the State Department denies that the United States is related to biological laboratories in Ukraine.

The US does not own biological laboratories in Ukraine and does not operate such facilities. This was stated at a briefing by the head of the press service of the US State Department, Ned Price, writes TASS.

“To be perfectly clear, the US authorities do not own or operate biological laboratories in Ukraine. And period,” Price said. He added that, as in many other countries around the world, American experts occasionally assisted Ukraine with questions relating to laboratory safety. Price noted that this activity was limited.

According to him, "Ukraine fully complies with the Biological Weapons Convention, fully complies with the Chemical Weapons Convention."

Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Troops (RCBZ) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, said that the Russian Defense Ministry is studying materials on the implementation of the military biological programs of the United States and its NATO allies on the territory of Ukraine.

According to the general, information received from various sources confirms the leading role of the US Department of Defense Office of Defense Threat Reduction in financing and conducting military biological research in Ukraine.
