OREANDA-NEWS. According to the Seattle Times, in the United States, doctors were able to revive a man whose heart had not been beating for 45 minutes.

We are talking about Michael Knapinski, who disappeared on November 7 while hiking in the snow-capped mountains of Mount Rainier National Park. Rescuers found him unconscious only the next day, and by the evening the 45-year-old man was taken to the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where his heart stopped. The facts speak of his death in the emergency room.

According to the doctor, the patient remained in this state for 45 minutes, while the doctors gave him artificial respiration and connected him to an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation apparatus. Their efforts were not in vain and made the man's heart begin to beat again.

Saman Arbaby, medical director of the Harborview Intensive Care Surgical Unit, himself admits the exceptional case, calling it stunning and saying that the patient is "back from the dead."

The victim himself, who miraculously returned to life, regaining consciousness, cordially thanked the staff of the medical center for saving his life. In an interview with the publication, he explained that his eyes turned white when he got to the end of the ski track. In this state, he tried to go down the mountain with "childish steps", after which he probably fell. This is evidenced by abrasions and scratches all over the body, the man added.
