The EU has revealed the details of the 13th package of sanctions against Russia

OREANDA-NEWS The new 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions of the European Union includes 194 individuals and legal entities, the total number of sanctioned persons exceeded two thousand, follows from the statement of the EU Council published on Friday.
The EU Council noted that the imposed package of sanctions is aimed at "restricting access" of the Russian Federation to components for UAVs.
"Today's decision expands the list of prohibited goods that can contribute to the technological development of the Russian defense and security sector, including components for the development and production of UAVs," the text says.
It is noted that 27 organizations were sanctioned for allegedly supporting the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
It is reported that some of the enterprises that have been sanctioned are located in third countries: India, Sri Lanka, China, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Turkey. It is clarified that they "participate in circumventing trade restrictions."
In total, four companies from China, as well as one company each from India, Sri Lanka, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Turkey, were included in the 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions, according to a press release on the European Commission's website dedicated to the next package of restrictions.
"The new additions to the list (of sanctions - ed.) are aimed at more than 140 companies and individuals from the Russian military-industrial complex," the text says.
According to the statement, the companies are engaged in the production of missiles, drones, anti-aircraft missile systems, military equipment, high-tech components for weapons and other military equipment.
In addition, as stated in the text, "the EU has imposed additional restrictions on the export of goods that, in particular, contribute to strengthening Russian industrial potential, such as electric transformers."
