OREANDA-NEWS Exporters of EU countries do not have the right to conclude contracts for the supply of goods prohibited for import into Russia if contractors from third countries are not ready to include in them a clause on the impossibility of re-export there. Violation of it will lead to termination of the contract or payment of a penalty. This is stated in the explanations of the European Commission (EC) on the application of the provision of Node-export to Russia, writes RBC.

The new principle was introduced in December 2023 as part of the 12th EU sanctions package. In the current version, it concerns five categories of goods.
