OREANDA-NEWS   The G7 countries will not introduce restrictive measures against Russia this week. At the same time, they will probably make a call to tighten existing sanctions, a source in diplomatic circles told Politico.

The leaders of the countries belonging to the association will not approve new sanctions against Moscow in the coming days. At the same time, they will certainly call for increased monitoring of measures already taken to prevent circumvention of restrictions by other States.

According to the insider, no new measures on the use of frozen Russian assets will be announced yet. There is still no consensus in the European Union on this issue, the newspaper reports.

Earlier it became known that the G7 countries intend to adopt another package of sanctions against Russia by February 24. It was clarified that it would affect dozens of Russian individuals and legal entities.
