OREANDA-NEWS. The British Queen Elizabeth II is the owner of four apartments in Moscow, their total price is 587 million roubles (more than 9,2 million dollars). This is reported by the Telegram channel Baza, citing data of the Federal Registration Service of Russian Federation.

The Queen’s apartments are located in the house number 10 in the 1st Obydensky side street. Their areas are 184, 187, 148 and 320 square meters. They are on the first, second and fourth floors. From the windows one can see the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Kremlin and the Moscow River.

Elizabeth II is recorded in the official documents as “Her Majesty the Queen, ruling in Canada.” Canada is one of the 16 countries beside Great Britain, where Elizabeth is a monarch.

The Queen has never been in these apartments. Baza wrote that the employees of the Canadian Embassy, which is located not far from them in Starokonyushenny side street, live there.

The only visit of Elizabeth II to Russia took place in October 1994. It was the first visit of the head of the British royal house in the history of Russian and English relations. The Queen took part in the opening of the Old English Yard museum, and visited the Bolshoi Theater and other places of interest of the Russian capital. A diplomatic protocol prohibits a British monarch from visiting the same country twice as an official, so Elizabeth II may come to Russia next time only as a tourist.

It is known that Queen Elizabeth II makes money on renting palaces. Real estate of British monarchs can be rented for holidays, business dinners, private concerts, fashion shows and other events.
