OREANDA-NEWS Twitter has blocked the official page of the Russian Embassy in Syria (@RusEmbSyria).

As reported on the English-speaking page of the Russian Foreign Ministry on Twitter, the blocking occurred without explanation. The ministry regards the company's actions as an act of censorship and obstructing freedom of speech.

Meanwhile in a statement by the Russian Embassy in South Africa, Twitter says that the page was blocked after criticizing the activities of the White Helmets organization in Syria, citing data from the Russian Defense Ministry.
