OREANDA-NEWS. The position of the deputies from the presidential party "Servant of the People" on the air of TV programs should be presented meaningfully, and not all TV programs meet this requirement. This opinion was expressed by the head of the office of the President (OP) of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, in a commentary to BBC News Ukraine, responding to the accusations of the UA: Pershy TV channel of pressure on the media by the authorities.

According to him, statements about the direct interference of Vladimir Zelensky's office in the editorial policy of media platforms are nonsense, since freedom of speech and independence of the media dominate in the country.

At the same time, the politician noted that if in the programs various positions of the guests are presented unbalanced or the engagement of the staff of the TV channels is noticeable, then the representative of the authorities himself refuses to participate.

Therefore, the head of the OP added, the accusations of TV presenter Miroslava Barchuk are emotional and do not reflect reality. Podolyak also pointed out that the deputies should go on air not for the sake of broadcasting, but in order to competently explain the initiatives of the authorities.
