OREANDA-NEWS Ukraine under Vladimir Zelensky plans to return to the issue of including in the text of the country's constitution a clause on “national autonomy” in Crimea.

The corresponding statement was made adviser to the President of Ukraine Nikita Poturaev, RIA "Novosti" reports.

He stressed that at present, a prototype of the committee “on occupied territories”, which will be responsible for the Crimea and Donbass, began working in Ukraine. And in this committee they wanted to create a national autonomy in the Crimea.

Poturayev also said that at the beginning of the 19th century, the “Russian Empire collapsed,” and Ukraine cooperated “with the independent Crimean Khanate.”

"Russia has swallowed the Crimea - an independent state, independent for centuries. It is wrong to consider the Crimea a Turkish colony - this is an absolutely artificial, fictional, propaganda discourse," he said.

According to Poturaev, the Crimean Khanate was allied with Ukraine during the time of the “war of liberation of Bogdan Khmelnytsky”.

It should be noted that rather strange statements are made in Ukraine concerning the history of the country. So, the former secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexander Turchinov called Ukraine "a great sea power", which possessed a strong fleet from the times of Kievan Rus.
