The law provides that the sanctions of Articles 111 (high treason) and 113 (sabotage) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine establish the maximum punishment under martial law, namely in the form of imprisonment for a term of 15 years or life imprisonment, with mandatory confiscation of all property. in the message.

Earlier, Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ilya Kiva was charged with treason, an attempt on territorial integrity and illegal handling of weapons, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova said. According to her, in the near future the parliamentarian will be put on the international wanted list.

Kiva called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a traitor and war criminal who "continues to push civilians to death by drowning Ukraine in blood." According to him, Zelensky "needs to be physically eliminated in order to save the lives of people in Ukraine."
